Possibly the most aspired to of all bespoke joinery projects is the painstakingly hand built, hand finished, iconic seventeenth century style oak panelled study.
17th century style oak wall panelling is probably the look for which the ex Bylaw craftsmen are most renowned.
It looks fabulous in a study, dining room, bedroom or entrance hall… particularly with a fine oak staircase! But as the photo archive will show… their work has also included classic country house “Georgian” panelling too with dado rails, tall panels and pilasters… so do consider that ‘look’ as well.
So where do you start? First you will almost certainly have a room in mind… existing or perhaps just part of a “new build”. Almost certainly the period or design of the property will determine the most appropriate panelling style. Call 01568 780 216 or e-mail [email protected] to discuss your initial ideas.
You may already have room plans and once we have established the project location, the rough dimensions of the room/s being considered, the general layout of doors and windows, the integral installations required such as radiator cabinets, fire surrounds and fitted bookcases etc. we can very quickly provide an estimate of likely total cost. If we’re within your budget… the next step is a site visit.
